What this calculation tells you
The number of days between two dates depends on whether you are measuring elapsed time or counting both endpoints. An elapsed interval from Monday to Tuesday is one day; counting both named dates gives two calendar days.
This tool counts calendar days, including weekends and public holidays. The weeks figure contains completed seven-day blocks, with extra days shown separately. It does not apply employment calendars, business-day rules or legal deadline extensions.
The method, explained
Elapsed days = UTC calendar-day difference Inclusive days = elapsed days + 1

A worked example
Start date: 2026-09-30 · End date: 2026-12-31 · Counting method: Exclude end date (elapsed days).
Days between dates: 92.00 days

Assumptions & limitations
- No holiday or working-day calendar is applied.
- Hours are days multiplied by 24, not the actual number of local clock hours across daylight-saving changes.
- Dates are interpreted as calendar dates, without times of day.

How many days for the same start and end date?
Elapsed mode reports zero. Inclusive mode reports one.
Can I use this for a legal deadline?
Do not rely on it to interpret deadline rules. Legal and administrative deadlines may exclude days or extend through holidays.
